Consulting Assignment

Do you want to take on a leading architect role in identity and cybersecurity where your work has a direct impact on critical societal operations? We are now looking for an experienced Lead Architect in IAM for a strategic consulting assignment in a complex and highly regulated environment.

About the Assignment

In this role, you will serve as the leading domain architect in Identity and Access Management, responsible for coordinating, driving, and further developing the IAM area. The assignment combines strategic architectural work with technical leadership and close collaboration with both the business and IT.

You will act as an advisory and governing architect with a clear mandate to influence architecture, priorities, and technical choices. The focus is on long-term sustainability, regulatory compliance, and secure identity management in an environment with high demands for quality and traceability.

Main Responsibilities of the Assignment

Architecture and Design

• Be responsible for the domain architecture within IAM and ensure compliance with overarching architectural principles
• Design and document IAM solutions from a business, technical, and security perspective
• Visualize the current state, target architecture, and transition architectures

Strategic and Tactical Work

• Develop decision support for business and technical choices
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards such as NIST
• Act as a knowledgeable advisor to senior roles such as Head of Service Area, Service Managers, and Service Owners

Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead and support teams through mentorship and servant leadership
• Contribute to backlog prioritization and coordination in an agile working method
• Communicate and present architectural solutions to various target groups and decision forums
• Support the organization in navigating a fast-moving and complex environment according to VUCA principles

Your Profile

You are a highly senior architect with extensive experience in IAM in larger and more complex organizations. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for the whole, making architectural decisions, and communicating these clearly and credibly. You thrive in advisory roles where you combine deep technical expertise with a strategic perspective.

Core Competencies

• Identity Governance and lifecycle management
• Access Management and Privileged Access Security including PAM
• Policy enforcement and policy decision such as RBAC, ABAC, and PBAC
• Identity Federation and Single Sign-On in modern and hybrid environments
• MFA and Zero Trust principles including Zero Trust Network Access and API security
• Architectural documentation and visualization

Desirable Experience

• PKI and Foundation Data
• Regulatory requirements such as NIST and Export Control
• Enterprise Architecture and domain architecture in large organizations
• Experience in global or multinational IT environments

• The scope and duration of the assignment will be adapted according to needs and agreement
• Start date as agreed
